Spring has arrived in Arizona which means that summer is not far from coming. This means the sun comes up sooner and sets later. Cool mornings and chilly nights are perfect for sitting around a fire place or fire table. Do you have a place to enjoy the coming weather, and even better, the beautiful sunrises or sunsets? Maybe your backyard?
Do you like your backyard? Is something missing? Do you want to use it more? How do you want to use it more?
Maybe an outdoor living space; a patio with a pergola. It does not have to be anything grandiose. Just something for you to escape the hustle and bustle of the office/city life; a respite to decompress. Somewhere to have your coffee in the morning to watch the sunrise, because you are a morning person. Or how about a nice place to sit and watch the sunset with your dessert and coffee before you head off to bed. The weather here is great for all these things. If it is too chilly, and you don’t want to put on a sweater, put in a fireplace.
Everybody needs a place to be peaceful. It is easily attainable. You could do the pergola route. Perhaps a fully built out Arizona Room. It could just be a trellis with vines growing to create a shady spot. Yes, the vines take water, the pergola does not.
I’m spring cleaning our sheds and clearing out all my magazines I’ve been hoarding. I found the inspirational photo and thought this is a great post for people. Don’t know what magazine I found it in.
Currently we are working on our front porch to make it more ‘come hither and relax.’ I have recently refurbished the chairs (see the before and after). It is now down to making it more shady and inviting. Maybe I’ll run some water lines over to it and get some big pots with plants. Shade, because it is east facing. Steps and new ramp are already in the plans.
